Greetings all and happy new year! I was recently hospitalized and although that was a bummer the treatment got rid of a bug in my lungs I have had for a long long time. At rest my o2 is 98%!!! When I first got home I was able to do activity without problems, I felt great. A few days later I had pain while breathing in and pain in my clavicle and shoulders. It went away after a few days but since I get out of breath very easily. How can my lungs feel so clear and yet so out of breath? I can do my strength exercises easily but cardo is very very difficult. Just daily activity, stairs, shower house work is exhausting.
About 4 years ago I had a echo on my heart. There was a small amount of fluid but my pulmonologist was not concerned.
I am wondering if my shortness of breath could be from fluid that gets better and worse? My primary Dr. did an EEG and it was fine as is my blood pressure. I do have an elevated heart rate but it has been that way a long time. He suggested an echo but was not convinced that would tell us anything. I expressed concern for another expensive test while I am faced with hospital bills.
Has anyone else experienced this??
Thanks, Betsy
