My insurer did a "Best Docs" review of my medical records because I have essentially been sick since 2019. Not sick as in "oh my god, I am dying," but a more, "my a$$ is getting kicked and I am tired and achy and cough a lot."
The review (by a seasoned pulmonologist) says:
Her pulmonary function test is consistent with COPD, as it demonstrates, airflow obstruction [FEV1/FVC% < 70%], that is not fully reversible with bronchodilators. Given her limited smoking history (13 pack years) it would be unusual for cigarette smoking to explain her COPD. The member may have constrictive bronchiolitis or bronchiolitis obliterans to explain her severe airflow obstruction. Bronchiolitis obliterans has been described following mycoplasma pneumonia. She does have gastroesophageal reflux disease, which can lead to low-grade chronic aspiration and lead to chronic airflow obstruction.
I am curious what you all think? My head is spinning right now.
