Hello,
Just diagnosed or being diagnosed. I have had a chest x-ray and so far I've been told it shows "Chronic emphysemic changes". What could that mean? All I can see online is the staging which doesn't mention chronic just mild, moderate, severe etc.
I am very worried and depressed and fearful of what awaits.
I have an appointment with respiratory in 6 months.
I am not that breathless. Certainly not on the level.
I did my own 6 minute walk test indoors and did about 530m.
My sp02 was 98 and 99 with 58 to 67 bpm first thing this morning.
It is lower at night. 96 97 and bpm 80 to 90.
I have noticed bpm stays high after a long walk for about an hour or more. 114 and 103 recently. I did 50 squats this morning and I'm immediately after it was 97 sp02 and 114 bpm. But went down to 79 within about 5 minutes.
I have noticed more mucus and I have got a morning cough at times.
I have gone into detail in case it helps. Many thanks
