We are all aware of the dwindling availability of liquid oxygen systems for home use due to the expense for the O2 suppliers and reductions in insurance and medicare reimbursements.
What is the foundation doing on this front and what can we collectively do to battle this?
Other than suggesting letters to congressmen it seems we are letting it slip away. For high flow patients there are limited options. I know we care enough to talk about it a lot but what can we do about it? Where are the leverage points? Would higher co-pays work, is the equipment, the oxygen and the service really that expensive or is it being priced out of the market by greedy marketers?
IMHO we out to be doing more to find solutions or make these key issues for discussion at all levels.
