An ex-smoker, I have COPD stage 3 on the GOLD standard with FEV1 at 46%, and it is slowly declining with each spirometry test. I have no mucus, wheezing or coughing problems, but when I exert, like walking up hill or stairs, I become very short of breath.
I have tried several medications- Symbicort, Trelegy, Anoro, Stiolto and Combivent, and none of them give me noticeable relief. Admittedly, it is difficult to measure day to day relief when I avoid those things that make me worse. If none of these medications seem to be helping, do I dare not take anything? I am currently taking Stiolto.
