Tightness in my throat

Hi everyone and merry Christmas

I’m getting worried that my emphysema has got much worse

I have a lung capacity of 27% and recently I have had tightness in my throat and allot more breathless than my normal

I had the doctor out he thought my throat looked fine but it certainly doesn’t feel fine

It’s affecting my breathing

Anyway he put me on steroids and antibiotics for 5 days which didn’t really help

He came out to me again on the 5 th day to listen to my chest

He said there was a wheeze but no crackles but because I didn’t feel any better thought I should go into hospital

I have refused because there is so many virus on the wards I thought my safest option was to stay home and go onto to virtual ward where they come in and take your obs daily

My obs are fine but my breathing isn’t

I also told the doctor that I felt that my face was a little swollen and especially around the jaw snd lip area

He didn’t seem to thing it was swollen but it didn’t feel normal to me and all this tightness in my throat I thought could be connected

I had a nebulizer later that day and I thought my throat wax going to close up can salbutamol cause because it definitely felt worse after the neb

Another thing I have found is I’m struggling to belly breath

My stomach feels so tight I’m wondering if it could be my diaphragm? Does anyone know or felt this or could it be something eles and not my emphysema

I have do belly bresth daily normally but its just not expanding like was and I’m struggling

All this tightness everywhere and especially my throat is making me wonder if this is my new norm

I really do hope not because it’s frightening
