I recently got a POC - it's great, and I plug it into my cigarette lighter (how ironic) and it charges. 2 hour battery, or more on lower settings.
Recently, my car stalled, and I wondered, well, ok, what would I do if my battery ran out and my car was not available.
I could take the second battery -- and take that back and forth with me to the car (I live in an apt building with an elevator and long hallways). That seems like a recipe for disaster, or dropping it, forgetting it, etc.
I asked my Pul dr. if I can keep tanks in the car, for emergencies. He said yes, just wrap them in a blanket and put them in the trunk.
However, everything I've read says don't do that. 02 Tanks should be upright, and not stored in the car in various kinds of weather. And they can explode if the car is hit.
Taking a tank with me every time I go out or on longer trips is heavy, and hard for me to do.
I could use some advice on how people prepare for this contingency (i.e, needing 02 and POC is out of juice), and some advice about the 02 Tanks on the trunk. thanks
