I am a 43 year old female, former cigarette smoker who switched to vaping about 6 months ago. I have been having ongoing issues with pressure in my head and lump in my throat following a dental infection. I have been dealing with this issue for about 2 months. I have been to my family dr and an ENT and no one can figure out what’s going on. I decided to go to the ER where more tests could be ran. They did do a CT scan with contrast, I still have no answers. But, when I was reading back the results on mychart it stated that I have mild biapical centrilobular emphysema. I was shocked. I didn’t even realized they scanned my lungs. The ER doctor gave no mention of this. I messaged my dr about it and he said that it’s normal given my smoking history and no further treatment should be necessary if there are no symptoms. I am so scared! I honestly don’t even know if I have symptoms. Of course I feel short of breath now because of my anxiety. I’m just so lost. I have spiraled pretty bad, I want my husband to leave me so he doesn’t have to deal with this. I am trying to stop vaping but the anxiety is making that very hard right now. Sorry for the jumbled mess, I’m just so scared right now. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve been reading through some of the posts and you guys are truly angels.
