Hello! I am a singer/songwriter diagnosed with emphysema, & I am losing my voice. A little background....in June of 2021 my vocal cords were in such good shape, I was able to go to a studio and record 5 songs. At that time, the only medication I used was albuterol sulfate about every 4 hours. About 4 months ago I switched medications & started taking the generic version of Symbicort (2 puffs 2 times daily) and Incruse Ellipta once a day. My breathing improved a lot, but slowly I have been losing my voice. I can't sing for more than half an hour without feeling like my vocals are completely shot!
I use a spacer when I inhale the Symbicort and I faithfully gargle with water anytime I use any inhaler.
If anyone has advice for keeping vocal chords healthy, please let me know.
