Hi all,
I was on the Breo ellipta inhaler for about 3 months. Now I have switched to a stiolto LABA/LAMA inhaler for 1 month. Stupidly, I tested stopping the LABA/LAMA inhaler for 1 week. Now my shortness of breath is back worse than ever before.
I’ve been back on the inhaler for another week and have noticed some improvement, but even missing a single day is giving me intense symptoms + shortness of breath. The same thing happened a few months ago when missing a dose on the BREO inhaler. The symptoms are becoming manageable with regular inhaler use.
So I have a few basic questions, as I’m not sure if I should be seeing my pulmonologist sooner (next appt is in 3 months).
- Is this a normal experience for COPD? Or if not, is this normal for asthma?
- Does this suggest that my obstructive lung condition (asthma or COPD) isn’t well controlled? Or that I need to trial a different inhaler?
Thank you in advance!
