I had the appointment with my pulmonologist today who definitively said I have COPD and not asthma.
I’m questioning this because of some things I understand about positive response to bronchodilators. And also that my DLCO is normal.
But, my pulmonologist points to me FeNO being at 11 as my diagnostic marker for COPD and not asthma, but that there could be some reversibility so we are going to try the inhalers and do a future breathing test….
I’m wondering if I need a 2nd opinion. I don’t want to fight facts at all but I’m not confident that the facts are all there yet. Maybe I’m just in denial? She rushed off our appointment after about 30 min and said we should meet in person and that I shouldn’t focus on the numbers
Here’s my spirometer results.
