I am looking for some advice to see if my GP is following correct action
I am 36 and had a CT scan in 2018 on a broken shoulder. On this CT it was picked up I have mild emphysema which was unusual due to my age. I did smoke but not long term.
since this date I have been asking my doctor to review or refer me to a COPD clinic but the keep saying I don’t have emphysema. I have had 3 letters and a consultation with a consultant in the respiratory clinic confirming I do have emphysema.
Should I be pushing my GP further or just swap to a different doctor? Or is he right. I am concerned that if I do have it I am not being reviewed. I wouldn’t know if it has progressed. I am short of breath a lot.
Any information or advice would be appreciated.
