New here. Asked this yesterday and cannot find my question today. Anyway - please...does anyone have this same problem. I have stage 4 COPD. Short of breath all day every day - BUT, my mornings are absolutely scary.
When I get up every morning I have to immediately get to my nebulizer to take a breathing treatment...it IS NOT because I am short of breath - it is because I literally cannot breathe.
Does anyone else experience this problem and have you found any method to make it more bearable?
On oxygen at night - does not seem to help. On Symbicort twice daily (does help) - Spiriva once per day - rescue inhaler...also seems not to help - take antibiotic every Mon., Wed, and Friday.
My lung doc moved out of town but before he moved I asked him about my mornings and he said the cause is pooled mucus over night. I have tried all that I know of...even Mucinex. Anyone?
