One thing ive had since my breathing issues that began after my bad bout of walking pneumonia and bronchitis, is a stuffy nose. I constantly have drainage but no “drip”. There’s nothing drippy about it and i never cough during the day from any of this drainage.
My question is: I’ve been told by doctors and read that the “post nasal drip” (even tho i dont have the drip or cough) can drain into your lungs during the day or night and that could be the cause of my phlegm from throat clearing. Ive studied the layout of the anatomy of the sinuses ans thoat and i dont see how this can happen without someone choking or coughing. Even more so, it doesnt seem likely that the drainage would flow into the trachea bec wouldnt it just flow into the stomach? Maybe the size of the person’s uvula matters with how it directs the mucus? When i got my tonsils out when i was 16 im pretty sure my surgeon scraped off my uvula bec i barely have one . My ENT asked if he did that and i couldnt confirm. Might i add, that i can only find studies on MICE to see id a solution ended up in the mice’s lungs. Why would they even bother with those tiny creatures when they arent formed like a human in this area at all!?
Anyway, no amount of nasal sprays or zyrtec fix this constant stuffy nasal passage issue. I feel like it’s symbiotic with my lungs.
Id love to hear your thoughts!! Thanks a lot for reading. Happy Almost Thanksgiving. I like cranberry sauce a LOT and i keep hearing that people don’t like it! That better not be true around here!! Lol jk Have a great one.
