New here! I recently got the results from my PFT test. Here some numbers:

FVC-47

FEV1-43

FEV1/FVC% - 70

End notes of the test say

“forced expiration demonstrates a severe obstructive ventilatory defect (FEV1 43.35% predicted)”

and “total lung capacity is reduced indicating a severe restrictive ventilatory defect (FEV1 43.35% predicted)”.

Not sure what this all means. Can’t see a pulmonologist until mid Oct. Of the 3, what numbers are more important? FVC, FEV1, or FEV1/FVC% ?

Sort of freaking out here.
