Hi all,
I posted here about a year ago with some issues I have been having.
I have been dealing with shortness of breath for about a year and a half. My primary care doctor assures me my lungs are fine.
I am a male, 32, 155lbs former smoker of 12 years.
I eventually went to a pulmonologist a few months ago. He told me my lungs were fine, normal, and said I had nothing to worry about. I explained how I had quit smoking, and he told me it was a great choice and that I had no long term damage to my lungs. He told me no additional testing was needed.
I followed up with my regular doctor who said they'd talked and I needed to stop worrying about this.
Still, I have felt like there is an issue. And when I looked at the actual details of his report it seems like my lungs have some issues.
Could anyone help me understand my PFT?
I don't understand why he was so dismissive of any issues when it seems my ability to breathe in is limited and it seems there are some very low metrics.
