I didn't use oxygen last summer. Now I have an oxygen concentrater and I have logistical questions. My room in this big old house, gets and stays fairly warm in spring summer & fall. I have a small window ac unit and 3 ocillating fans to keep me more or less comfy. But NOW.. I sleep with the oxygen. What kind of danger am I facing by operating all 3 fans and the ac unit... while the oxygen concentrater is running overnight. They have all kinds of warnings about using various appliances near the machine.... or near the other end where the oxygen comes out... the cannula.
The concentrater is actually located just outside of my 3rd floor (closed) bedroom door, in an outer room, which in summer months has a large ac window unit, as well as high powered room fan, running 24/7. 25 Ft of tubing goes from the machine, under my door and to my bedside. Inside my bedroom is where I have my 3 little room fans and the small ac unit running, pretty much non-stop all summer.
Am I setting myself up for oxygen misuse? Or an accident? Even with the fans and AC running it stays pretty much between 80 and 90 degrees all summer. Without the air sources... much hotter. There would be no way to sleep. Input plz? Thanks.
