I am frustrated that there is not much out there about the practicalities of using oxygen. I have come up with a couple of things that I need to know, but I'll bet others have more tips and tricks.
Here's what I have so far:
Prongs up or down - doesn’t matter - do what works for you.
When moving, around, grab a handful of tubing behind you and release as needed - watch for corners.
Get good at the whip and flick to bring excess tubing away from where you and others walk.
Hang the tubing over the shower curtain rod.(That’s a vast improvement on leaving it down, poking out the shower curtain, and getting to wash your bathroom floor after every shower! I like a clean floor, but really. . . ) (This one I did read here. . . Thank you!)
Give your friends a “Heads Up”. Old folk don’t like surprises.
Watch where your tubing is if you sleep on your side (or you’ll wake up with a striped face!)
IMHO, ignore the tech who said you can’t cook using oxygen. Use common sense or eat junk.(I do have an electric stove/oven, though. I may not be so cavalier if I used gas.)
Use your phone’s camera to take pics when you are getting info from the tech. Take notes. And you still won’t get it all. . . Thank goodness for google and youtube!
