I have a combination of moderate severe obstruction,(as diagnosed yesterday by spirometry) poor circulation, my artery tied off in my right leg and nerve damage and vein valve issues from necrotising fasciitis in my right leg a few years ago.
I suffer from sudden drops in O2 levels, (from the 90's sometimes as low as 74%) sometimes unrelated to sleeping or activity.
Ive got a sleep study next week because these drops occur at night, im not overweight and dont have the gasping when i do wake with very low oxygen levels (i wear a wrist monitor with a sensor around the base of my finger) but i have the same sudden drops (and then pops back up) during the day as well.
I feel so much worse than my my spirometry results would suggest at face value and my belief is this is somehow tied into my other issues.
Im happy to pay for initial investigations if it saves time and points my doctor in the right direction.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of investigation/doctor would be helpful for me as the next step.
Im in the UK. Thanks for your help.
