New Nodule Found on CT

My first CT scan showed a development of a new dominant spiculated nodule highly concerning for malignancy it is 1.1 cm. This did not show on my two chest X-ray. Doctor wants me to get another CT in June before my appointment with her. She also said something that this could be a mucus plug and she wants to see if I goes away. Does a mucus plug look like i nodule? I am so scared.
