Hello, I have been diagnosed with mild Copd, I am 38.
Spirometry results: CVF: 126% FEV1: 93% FEV1/CFV: 59%
CT shows discrete signs of centronibillar emphysema.
I have smoked since I was 14 years old, although I have quit for a few intermittent years. Since the diagnosis I have quit it forever.
I am a very active athlete, swimming, running, crossfit. I eat very healthy. I have never noticed shortness of breath. The only thing I notice is nasal congestion more frequently, especially with changes in temperature.
What can I expect?
Can I continue with my future plans? Or will I be limited in a short time?
I have read that chlorine is bad for this disease and I love swimming, can I continue swimming?
Thank you very much for your attention
