Your thoughts are appreciated ! Here are the new second opinion numbers limited to the percent predicted. I was not on drugs. Second testing post asthma drug showed no meaningful change.
Diagnosis is moderate obstructive airway disease. But per CT scan, no COPD umbrella disease. It is confusing as prior testing showed much stronger obstruction, the FEV1 / FVC was 47% predicted when exposed to perfume (45 minutes in the waiting room with lots of perfumed people and my coughing), and a week later when on Trelegy, 53%, then a month later 59%. New test is 66%. Also have had a few very minor SOB events that were a reaction to perfume/chemicals. So the "no asthma' puzzles me.
I'm going to see the head doctor that wrote the impression report, who I did not meet, as I now have questions. He did not include the scan nor blood tests in his report.
NUMBERS:
FVC % Pre 90% (normal >80) NORMAL.
FEV1 % Pre 66% (normal > 80) MODERATE OBSTRUCTION.
FEV1/FVC % Pre 71% (normal => 70) NORMAL. NOTE: This ratio is from the prior test in Sept. The new test only had absolute value (not predicted) as 53% which may go by the normal rule is within 5% of predicted. So they would have a very low moderate score, instead of normal.
RVPleth % Pre 136% (normal 75-120) ELEVATED.
TLCPlleth % Pre 110% (normal 80-120%) NORMAL.
DLOCunc % Pre 89% (normal 60-120) NORMAL.
DLVA % Pre 103% (Lungguy notes this is really for restrictive disease, poor predictor).
Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide for asthma is 6 - NORMAL. (Higher than normal = airways are inflamed, a sign of asthma. Levels under about 25 parts per billion in adults are normal).
