I know this isn’t about me and I don’t have any test results so my apologies right off the bat. But I just want to get some advice. My brother is 36M and he smoked weed for 12 years. He quit about 2 1/2 years ago but he told me he has mucus in his throat most of the time. When he wakes up it’s not there but when he is exercising, eating, and just sitting around he gets mucus in his throat that he needs to spit. After doing some research (he is too stubborn to go to the doctors even though our Dad died of COPD), I see that COPD is one possible option of why this is happening to him. He doesn’t have a cough and doesn’t get out of breath unless he runs really hard. Is it possible to only have mucus in your throat and no other symptoms and have COPD? If a lot of people say yes I plan to show him this to see if we can get him to the doctors. Thanks in advance and again, I apologize if this is insensitive to post. I know a lot of people struggle with COPD everyday in here so I don’t want you think that I take that lightly. I am just scared for him. Thank you.
