Hi everyone,
I 29M have obstructive breathing without reversibility (which looks like small airways COPD, but not yet officially diagnosed with COPD or asthma).
Recently, I have been having alot of chest discomfort and obstruction in the lungs (with a blocked nose feeling) particularly in the morning and less-so before bedtime.
After having a bad nights sleep or if I'm run down, this becomes much worse and I get very intense symptoms and breathing problems. Even missing 1-2 hours of sleep or waking up early is causing these lung problems. They turn into long term problems (such as chest infections or days/weeks of discomfort and obstruction) very easily.
Unfortunately, I am overseas and cannot see my pulmonologist for another few months. When I saw them last time for this issue, they dismissed it and weren't of much help.
I am not sure if this is typical in COPD symptoms, or more suggestive of a systematic autoimmune disease. I had negative tests for A1ATD (blood test) and asthma (based on methacholine challenge, exhaled FeNO and bronchillator reversibility with salbutamol)
I have recently had other issues such as achillies tendonitis in both feet, joint pains and exhaustion. I also had negative blood tests for ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatiod arthritis.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
