I’m in pulmonary rehab and we were told patients only get approximately “20% of the inhaled medication without using a spacer”! That’s a drastic reduction, and even if it’s a higher percentage for some of us, it’s certainly not close to 90 or 100 %.
Per my rehab, “medication that ends up in the stomach does NOT reach the lungs!”
So, why are so many medications “ellipticals”? Many do not have a spacer option like BREO & INCRUSE.
Thanks for thoughts about this
