Will Medicare pay for a second (additional) oxygen concentrator? I want to know the general answer prior to approaching my DME supplier.
I travel often overnight, and have tried using my portable Inogen G5 and also conserver regulators on a “D” cylinder. My problem is that my light breathing does not register adequately to trigger O2 while sleeping. I want to know if Medicare will pay to provide me with another concentrator I can take in my car so I can have continuous flow oxygen overnight. I could unhook everything from my home unit, but that will involve disassembling the HomeFill unit and related connections, which would be very difficult.
