Hi all,
I was here three years ago when my dad had a bad COPD exacerbation. Things were pretty good on his COPD for the last 3 years, although he also has heart issues and anemia (and he's 86), but in the last month he's had a COPD exacerbation and was given Pulmicort (Budesonide) and Xopenex (levalbuterol) for nebulization.
The Xopenex is "as needed" but he seems to do much better when he gets the Xopenex regularly, at least 2x a day. But I have read that using albuterol regularly (for asthma at least) ultimately makes the situation worse.
Is it ok to use Xopenex/Levalbuterol on a daily schedule every day or is that a bad thing to do?
Thank you all so much.
