Hi everyone, forgive me as I'm very emotional. I had a pft last week and my PCP called yesterday with the results.... It was oh you have copd, nothing else offered, just see a pulmonary doc, which I am. Background...47 yrs old, female, never smoked but of course been around it. Work in a very dusty environment, close to 25 years...Wear a paper mask daily, ok usually more then 1 daily. The main reason I'm so emotional about this is copd is what killed my mom, 3 years ago. To watch her go downhill like she did, in and out of hospitals, etc has me freaking out. I'm not sure how to deal with it. I'm also trying to decipher my pft spirometry. any advice for newbie's?
