Maybe there should be! This recent study shows that a home based PR program following a one-week onsite PR training works.

This is the first study of its kind, evaluating the effects of a simple, low cost home based PR program. You can check out the study design and results here. http://rc.rcjournal.com/content/60/4/526.abstract

Another great reason to join the COPD PPRN! https://www.copdpprn.org

I would also encourage all of you to talk with your doctor about attending a Pulmonary Rehab program. It can do great things for people living with COPD.

We recently launched a new Interactive map to find a Pulmonary Education Program (PEP) powered PR Center near you. PEP is one of the COPD Foundation’s signature programs. We work with over 230 PR Centers in the US to provide a unique learning experience to the patients enrolled at one of those PEP powered PR Centers.
