I've always had asthma but never had trouble with it until a couple years ago. Earlier in the year my dr diagnosed me with stage 2 copd. No literature or anything. Just told me to quit smoking. He put me on Trelegy (only half a lung was working 50% oxygen) 2 weeks later it improved up to 72%. Still on Trelegy. Been really sick, went to er and dr said it's copd exacerbation. I didn't have any clue to what that meant. Got antibiotics and prednisone. Waking up in the middle of the night repeatedly coughing and choking non stop to the point I'm almost vomiting. Is this the normal for copd? Any suggestions?
