Having COPD, myself I am on a few medications
and wear oxygen at night. I have read about the Zephyr valve and how it can get
help with shortness of breath and overall wellbeing. Living close to the
Philadelphia area I know that Temple and Thomas Jefferson Hospital does this
procedure. I would like to know how I can qualify as a candidate for this
procedure. How do they choose who can and who cannot or should not
have the procedure? My last function test I was at 30% lung capacity. Would it
have to be worse? I haven’t spoken with my pulmonologist yet who is from
Abington Hospital and they do not do this procedure yet.
