my father has both COPD and macular degeneration. His home oxygenator has the level output reader on the side. Its a sort of test tube with a silver ball inside. In order to read it properly, you have to bend down to its level, or there will be distortion and you wont see where it actually is set. My father is stage 4. He just got out of hospital with an exacerbation. If he bends that far, his tummy pushed into his lungs and he cant breathe. In addition, with his macular degeneration, he simply cannot view it properly. What, if any, are the responsibilities of the supplier? Are we limited by what they stock or do they need to provide him equipment he can actually manipulate? Right now, they are indicating they would ask his caregiver to adjust it for him! I find that ludicrous as sometimes he is home alone...any insights would be greatly appreciated!
