I would like to introduce myself and say hello to you all.
My name is Marc in the uk.I am 60 years old.I had a chest infection when I was 47 and found out I had copd.I stopped smoking immediately and about 5 years later I started to find it harder to breathe sometimes.3 years ago aged 57 I saw a pulmonary consultant privately and he issued me with a trimbow inhaler.
I have an annual lung function test which has been stable for 3 years.I am Fev1 56 so I am moderate.
Recently I finally decided to read up on copd.People say it is not a death sentence but it slowly gets worse and all I can do is avoid colds.keep exercising, don't smoke and don't be overweight.
I use a treadmill and walk daily,I am not overweight and things are ok for now.But I have this fear it will all get worse and life will not be worth living. So I guess I do see it as a death sentence.
I am thinking of selling my business and getting married to my partner Annie. She Is healthy and older than me.
