My pulmo has been watching a spot in the upper right corner of my lung. It shower up in last years CT, again this year in both a CT and then a CT/with contrast. He then had me do a PRT scan, and now wants to do a "needle biopsy".
I'm not sure I want to go thru the biopsy process. From what he said, there are 3 possible outcomes: 1 - death on the table {from puncturing the lung}; 2 - begin {therefore do nothing}; and 3 - malignant {in that case, he doesn't feel I could tolerate surgery, and would recommend radiation treatment}.
The spot is about 15mm {1/2"} and I'm not sure how much it has changed in the last couple years. Probably the the good news, if malignant, its very early.
What's a fella to do?
