Hey again,
I tried looking for previous questions regarding this type of situation but couldn't find one.
As stated previously, I haven't been diagnosed with COPD, but at one point I was diagnosed with atypical asthma. Now that diagnosis has also been revoked.
My main concern is excessive mucus production on a daily basis. Most of the time the mucus is clear and transparent but it's extremely sticky, like glue, and it extends extreme amounts. Other days it can be more white, yellow or greenish and thicker but this varies weekly.
I have been using cortisone inhaler daily, twice a day, as prescribed previously on my "asthma" because I noticed that it reduces the mucus production at least a bit. I have some cough but not on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure this is chronic bronchitis.
What I want to ask is that A) is it okay for me to use the cortisone inhaler for my symptoms? B) is there any other ways I could help reduce to mucus production? C) what are the odds of developing a permanent airway obstruction because of this, even though I've stopped smoking almost two years ago?
Thank you very much for your help.
