Hi all, first of all I want to say that I love this site. The positivity is so helpful and just sharing information and knowing that you are part of this community is essential. Well done to admins/mods/organisers - can't thank you enough.
Reminder I am alpha 1 antitrypsin deficient 56 yo with severe COPD (FEV1 40% - both emphysema and bronchitis) and never smoker. I think that I am having my first exacerbation but not sure. I can not sleep at night for coughing and huge amounts of mucus. I feel tired rough! I am on Trilogy once a day as an inhaler and have just got a nebuliser for salbutamol but doesn't seem to be helping. My lungs sound terrible - wheezing and clicking. I am just wondering if this is my new new normal :(.
Does anyone out there feel similar or had similar experiences. Is this familiar to some of you. I just need to hear some advice/thoughts as I feel so depressed and think that I am declining.
Positive note - I walked 5 km yesterday without too much problem so am still functional.
Thanks all.
