I'm conducting some searches on the internet to better understand the correlation between emphysema and a person weight. I do undersatnd it when it comes to being overweight, I do not however understand it when it comes to being underweight. I'm 6"3, always been between 150/160 (when I abstain from all milk product) when I include milk my weight can easily reach 170/180. Because of the mucus issue, I do not use any milk product of any kind.
It is very hard to train everyday and put on weight especially when one has a tall frame like mine. I eat healthy lots of veggies/fruits, I exercise 3 days on the row and stop the 4th.
I'm very muscular and lean. How is it beneficial to me that I put on more weight since I always read "maintain ideal weight"? How is an extra 20 or 30 lbs would benefit me? I will ask my doc, but I have an appointment with a new doc in about three months from now.
