Hi,
Diagnosed with mild centilobular emphysema in April 2024. My pulmonologist said hey it’s fine your 67 and it’s mild see you in 3 months. However, it’s not exactly fine. Coughing and wheezing at night and sleeping in most days. I have a dog. Have always had a dog and cats and they have always slept with us. And of course you google emphysema and pets and my lord is there a flood of opinions on getting rid of pets, or barring them from your bedroom; not mingling with them, vacuuming every single day l, taking up carpets, etc etc. I have never been allergic. I can find no studies about pets and COPD. There is a mention on NIH about children pet exposure and asthma. If you are not allergic to pets (and I’ve been tested by an allergist) Then it should not be a problem, right
