Posted this on the wall then realised there is a questions section. Sorry for the duplication…
I’m so glad I’ve found this site - I’ve been reading lots of supportive messages and fantastic advice. I’m not sure how to feel tbh. I have multiple ground glass nodules in my lungs (4) and have had them reviewed via CT on 2 occasions. The first scan only shows the nodules. The second scan has indicated ‘parenchymal cyst/early emphysematous changes in upper left lob’ and ‘early background COPD changes’. I have no idea what to make of it and don’t see my pulmonologist until early May. Is there usually this much variance between radiologist assessments? Seems odd to all of a sudden have discovered this. Does it mean that I have COPD - emphysema?
I am a 48 year old ex smoker, 18 packet years (so much regret). I had a spirometer test at the end of last year and it was a good result and no indication of COPD.
Enough on my mind with the nodules and now this. Can’t help freaking out and thinking about my 2 small children.
