can someone please tell me is there a difference between an angiogram and angioplasty?
My dad who is 87 and has blocked arteries in his legs went into the hospital last week for what I thought was an angioplasty, but he said that the doctors did not insert any stents or balloons.
i am starting to question if he just had an angiogram done. Because he still has leg pain.
When he was released, the nurses told him that a doctor would call him in a month.
I do not live with him, only my 85 yr old mother
I am writing this because he is diabetic and has an infection on his toe that is being treated, but the doctor has already said there is no blood flow going to the toe . And I think they are trying to open the arteries to get the blood flowing.
Does it sound like he had an angiogram and not angioplasty?
Please help
