My H has severe COPD with very low blood oxygen levels. So low he has been admitted to the hospital several times. Has trouble getting it up to the 90-91 mark with just sitting still, and most of the time it is in the low to mid 80's. We had planned on flying to FL for a few weeks in March, and our Dr. won't give him permission to fly. We are really disappointed as we have had to cancel several other vacations we had planned because of his being sick. Just wondering what flying does to a person. He is on 2 ltr. and before this, (a year or so ago) we flew, before he even used oxygen without any problems. Can someone tell me the dangers involved with flying? Do the levels go lower than they usually are? Would love to hear from anyone with this problem. Thanks
