Hi, My father aged 65 is a Copd patient and is on supplemental O2 for around 15 hrs (2.5 LPM) from last one year. From last a few months, he often suffers from exacerbation and edema in feet and ankles. For that he is taking antibiotics & diuretics.
A few days back we did an Echo test which shows severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (Cor Pulmonale). The cardiologist didn't prescribed any medicine except diuretics.
Kindly let me know how to control the pulmonary arterial pressure so that further damage to the right side of his heart is prevented. Is there any medicine for it or any treatment option?
Thanks & Regards
