The new year is almost here! Let’s look back on all of the new resources we’ve created for our community in 2024. From podcasts and e-learning courses to flyers and new Spanish materials, there is something for everyone in our library!
Earlier this year, we created new e-learning courses for people living with COPD. These cover topics such as staying healthy and avoiding shingles and RSV. We also offer an e-learning course that explains how nebulizers can help some people get the most out of their breathing medications.
Some new podcasts were added to our library this year. Here, you’ll learn about improving communication with your health care team, thriving with COPD, breathing myth-busters, and much more! Check them out today and learn more about how to live well with COPD.
We also created a new flyer that highlights how to stay healthy and avoid shingles. This is helpful information for everyone, but it is especially important if you are living with COPD. Did you know that if you are living with COPD, you are more likely to get shingles? A shingles infection can cause your COPD symptoms to become worse.
Lastly, our popular Harmonicas for Health program was recently translated into Spanish! This new resource is available for purchase in our online store. It can also be licensed for use in health care facilities, support groups, and other locations. For more information, contact our staff at harmonicasforhealth@copdfoundation.org.
While our My COPD Action Plan is not a new resource, it is a good idea to download a fresh copy today and bring it to your next checkup. Did you know it is available in eight languages, including Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, Farsi, and Arabic? Make sure you have a plan for staying healthy and avoiding COPD flare-ups in the new year!
