Hey all, I was diagnosed with mild COPD about 3 weeks ago, smoked for 20 years I’m 35 I’ve tried to quit smoking these past 3 weeks I'm getting very close, only had 4 packs in the past 3 weeks. I am scared though. My doctor didn’t say much, said it was a mild case gave me an inhaler and told me to come back in 4 weeks. I’ve read that the average amount time to live with this is 10-20 years… I’d like to see my daughters grow up. I also read that being diagnosed younger is worse than older because it will progress even if I improve my lifestyle and I’ll die before someone who is diagnosed at 50. Anyone have thoughts that’s real? Thank you! Im also epileptic and the anxiety is triggering seizures. I suppose my immunity system isn’t great either… that might be a factor to how long I have left.
