My father is 88yrs old and have been a heavy smoker since age 16. He has recently been diagnosed with COPD. His breathing is faster, he coughing up alot of of heavy mucus. He wont stop smoking and we tried it all with him. He has been attending his Dr visits alone and we only found out through some paperwork my sister picked up for him. His is chronic. He is on no pumps, no meds, and no oxygen. Is this because he is a smoker? I know you cannot smoke with oxygen tank. Please help with much needed answers. Thanks
