This is difficult to write. A week ago I was in ER for what was diagnosed as a COPD exacerbation. I’m unable to get a pulmonologist appt. for 1.5 months so saw my PCP. Was put on O2 for nighttime use, iprat/albuteral nebulizer 4x/day, 40mg Prednisone & Breztri together with Theophylline to get by until seeing pulmonologist & was told it’s an old drug, rarely used now.
Several months ago, had an infection, PCP wondered about COPD & prescribed Roflumast which I was unable to take due to already existing severe anxiety. All seemed well. Then, a cancer diagnosis came along which I foolishly tried to compensate with an old bad habit of smoking.
I’m now scared beyond words. There’s little info on Theophylline, I must eliminate the few cigarettes/day I’ve been smoking and beyond that, don’t know what to do.

If anyone has suggestions I’d greatly appreciate it.
