Hi there!
Well, darn! After three FULL doses of the Moderna vaccine (not half dose which is the booster but a full third dose of original vaccine due to my immunoglobulins being mildly low) I am Covid Positive. My dear Son had covid last Monday. He had a high fever and threw up followed by coughing and a cold. THANKFULLY, he on the mend. Yay!!
Unfortunately, on Wednesday, i developed a cold, so I figured id do an at home test yesterday (Friday) since my symptoms persisted. It was very positive.
So far, this is just a bad cold- achey body, some fatigue and terrible sinus congestion. Being pregnant, having mild copd and obviously a lower than normal immune system since this is a rare breakthrough, i pray this stays a cold and doesnt drop into my lungs.
This sinus congestion aka terribly stuffed nose is causing me to always and ONLY mouth breath. Ive tried a neti pot and saline spray but they only work for a few seconds. This mouth breathing irritates my lungs so Im now using my nebulizer more than ever because im feeling wheezy/shortness of breath.
Does any one have any suggestions as to what to do about this stuffy nose? I will ask my doctor too. My test showed positive at 5pm Friday so I wasn’t able to reach my doctor.
I am grateful for the vaccines regardless! Id hate to have this without being vaccinated.
Thanks for reading. Id also love positive stories if anyone else has dealt with covid breakthrough.
Take good care!!
