I have COPD, verified by spirometry and pulmonary exams. Technically, by the numbers, my case is severe according to the pulmonologist. I do not have any trouble with mucus- I don't cough, wheeze or rattle when I breathe, even while sleeping.
My lungs respond slowly to medication, and I don't feel any benefit from rescue inhalers, and unless I have to exert, I don't need them.
What would be an appropriate medication to be taking? If I don't flare up much I should not be using steroids every day, so I have switched off those. I would guess a combination of bronchodilators would be the next, and my doctor and I have begun looking in this direction. The scrip for olodaterol has to be changed because my insurance won't cover it. What might be the next med to try?
Thanks.
