I've been taking care of my mom who is usually on 4L of oxygen resting and 5-6L when up and around. For the last few months I have observed her more SOB when she's up and moving around. Nothing has changed. She participates in pulmonary rehab which seems to be successful. However when we put the pulseox on after she's been up i.e. a short trip to the bathroom or getting up to the kitchen, she'll return to the couch and her numbers will be in the low high 70's low 80's. She rebounds fast and has just gotten into that habit despite expressing my concern. That habit terrifies me. My main concern is what damage is she doing to herself by having her oxygen drop so low then come back up multiple times a day everyday?
