Mumbai,
India
Hi! I am Dr. Kiran A Palande and I am honoured to be the First Captain of the COPD Foundation in India (Mumbai). I am a Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapist with a special interest in Pulmonary Rehabilitation. I hope to achieve my goal of raising COPD awareness and improving the daily activities of COPD patients by promoting Pulmonary rehabilitation, which will have a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals living with lung diseases by providing them with the tools and support they need to live healthier and more fulfilling lives.
My motivation for becoming a State Advocacy Captain is to broaden my knowledge base, expand my networking opportunities and services to people in need. Many patients have limited access to and knowledge of the resources available to them.
I plan to achieve these goals through community events, raising awareness, advocacy, and fundraising. We need to engage real people with real issues, real tales. This is where the battle starts.
I would also want to hear your ideas, so please connect with me if you have any ideas or just want to talk! :)
I am always ready to lend a compassionate ear via COPD360social.
One of my favourite quotes is “The trick to life is to just keep breathing. ~Johnny Lung”
I feel that by working together with others who share my enthusiasm, we can make a big difference in the lives of COPD patients.
I am very grateful to be a part of this experience.
